Dorchester
From Boston Neighborhood Map
Dorchester is Boston's largest neighborhood by area and population. Due in part to its size, it breaks down easily into a fairly regular set of sub-neighborhoods that run the gamut from quaint, 18th century square to boarded-over urban blight. Someone really ought to document this wide-ranging flavor in the interests of dismantling Dorchester's place in the public imagination as an amorphous blob of crime and foreclosure.

Future Work
The western border needs work. I really lack enough knowledge of the Roxbury/Dorchester and Mattapan/Dorchester lines, and to make matters worse, the western edge of Dorchesters appears to be one of the least well-defined areas in Boston. Any feedback people can provide on this region would be extremely helpful.
